There’s just something special about wooden toys. They stimulate thoughts of toy stores, Santa’s workshop, and days long ago when local woodcarvers made all the toys for the children of a village. The look, feel, and smell of wooden toys are comforting to small children who learn and emotionally develop through play.
Even though many folks in our society prefer plastic because of its convenience and cheaper price, plastic will never be wood. To me, it is like saying Mountain Dew compares to water. Even if Mountain Dew is bright, carbonated, and sweet, it will never be water, which is pure, natural, and good for the body and soul.
With this concept in mind, a grandmother founded the toy company, Wooden Toys Fun, with the goal of providing children with fun, educational wooden toys made with safe products. Their toys are beautiful! Wooden Toys Fun sells activity tables such as the ones in waiting rooms at the dentist or doctor. My boys have always been obsessed with these tables. My five-year old still loves playing with them.
Wooden Toys Fun sent us an activity table to try out, and the boys loved it. Case, my two-year old has especially loved playing with it. The activities provided on the table foster critical thinking, fine motor skills, and coordination. They also stimulate conversations between child and adult regarding colors and shapes.
Along with the activity tables, they sell activity cubes, puzzles, personalized puzzles and stools, wall panels, and wire bead maze tables. Not only are these toys great for a child’s room at home, but they would be amazing in a preschool classroom or waiting area. If you’re a teacher or someone who orders toys for businesses, you need to check out this company.
Not only does Wooden Toys Fun create beautiful and creative toys, but their customer service is excellent. The owner of the company has been great to work with. She understands children and what they need to develop and grow in a meaningful way. Oftentimes, customer service can make or break a company for me.
If you love wooden toys like I do and are looking to buy a really cool toy for your home, office, or classroom, check out Wooden Toys Fun. You won’t be disappointed.
Though I was compensated for my time and provided a toy to review, as always, opinions are 100% my own.

I agree! There is something so classic about solid wood. It has a beautiful staying power. So cool that your Grandmother was involved in keeping these toys around.

It really does have great staying power! She wasn’t actually my grandma, but she was a grandma, nevertheless.

How neat! I so agree that wooden toys are so much better than plastic! They can be passed down from generation to generation too!
susannabarbee says
Very, very true! No one particularly wants to pass down plastic.
