Many years ago, Todd and I traveled to Knoxville to see a concert at the beautiful Tennessee Theater in downtown Knoxville. As much fun as we had and as much as this city has to offer, we hadn’t been back to Knoxville until having our second son, Case. The Knoxville Zoo is an especially fun place if you have kids. Built in 1948, the zoo has worked hard making the zoo very modern and ensuring the habitats are as natural as possible. Not only are there plenty of animals, big and small, but the zoo also has camel rides, awesome children’s areas, and a water play area. If you go, be sure to bring your child’s swim suit!
