I hope you and yours had a nice Thanksgiving. Now that Turkey Day is almost over, everyone is shifting their minds to holiday shopping. I don’t bemoan anyone for visiting all the chain stores tonight and tomorrow. We’re all trying to save a buck or two, but if you really want to support your neighbors and find unique, amazing gifts, shop local.
If you’re fortunate enough to live anywhere near Waynesville, you won’t believe how many amazing small businesses, talented artists, and vendors we have. Below is a roundup of all the sales I know about as well as a list of other small businesses to support. If you know of others, comment, call me, message, or text, and I will include the info. If you don’t live in this area, I’m sure you have some amazing small businesses in your own town. They would love your support, believe me.
Go local, shop small, and have some fun!

Other local businesses to support this weekend and throughout the holiday shopping season are T. Pennington Art Gallery, Copper Pot & Wooden Spoon, Pocketsaver, Lily Belles, Montgomery St. Market, The Classic Wineseller, The Jeweler’s Workbench, Smoky Mountain Dog Bakery, Pleasant Places, The Chocolate Bear, Vintage Girl Market, Mountain Favors, Haywood County Arts Council, and Rivers Edge Antiques. And while you shop, be sure to grab some coffee, beers, wine, or lunch at one of our amazing local restaurants. Lastly, check out this fantastic event happening all day on Saturday. Happy holiday shopping, friends!
