Whew, I’m still a bit shaken up that the calendar says March. February flew by in a flash. I know it’s already March 3, but I’ve still got February on my mind. It was a good month, and I want to celebrate ten things that made me smile.
). A trip to Tennessee with the boys. We visited the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge and also had lunch at Hard Rock Cafe. It was their first Hard Rock experience. Good times.
). Triathlon training. My official triathlon training started in February. It’s going really well. Training is addictive. While I’m nervous about my first triathlon on May 12, I’m also super excited.
). Baby Owen. Our best friends had their fourth boy this month. We love this family so much and are thrilled to have another little monkey in the mix.
). Looking ahead. A dear friend bought me this wall hanger this month. It’s perfect.
). Valentine’s Day. The boys and I had a lot of fun this year making Valentines for their classmates. This holiday is for innocent hearts, and I love seeing the boys get so giddy about it.
). Reading. There was a lot of reading going on in February. I’m reading several great books including this one. Also, the boys’ school held Reading Olympics, and they both got really into it. Both boys got a gold medal!
). Frolicking. One of my favorite things to do is frolic. Whether it’s in my own town or somewhere new, I love to explore. One day in February, the boys and I spent an entire Saturday in downtown Asheville. We had a ball, as always.
). Maddie pics. My sister has been sending some insanely cute photos of my niece Maddie. We are missing this little stinker and cannot wait to see her over spring break.
). Hint of spring. February was abnormally warm compared to December and January. While the flowers seemed a bit confused, I admittedly enjoyed the warm snap. I needed some sunshine.
). Adult fun. I attended a Mardi Gras event supporting our local public school foundation. It was an amazing evening. We all need a little adult fun every now and then!
Cheers to the month’s end! Here’s to a great March.
