I’ve been trying to write this post all day. But it’s just been one of those Mondays. This post is titled ‘Weekend Recap’ and I feel like I need to write these posts on a Monday for some reason. I still have 15 minutes to get this published, so here we go.
It was a crazy busy weekend with a lot of sports activities, essential oil talking, snow, and shopping. As I was typing those, I realized how varied those topics are. Story of my life.
On Friday, Case, had his first soccer practice. For so long he hasn’t wanted to participate in any type of organized activity but when he turned five in January, he finally said he was ready to play a sport. And it was like once he made that statement, he was gung-ho. He’s been wearing his soccer socks around the house all week and kicking his soccer ball so much, I had to put it in my trunk so he wouldn’t break a lamp or the TV. Needless to say, he loved his first soccer practice. And even more so because his best friend plays too.
Then on Saturday, my older child, Brooks, had his Swim-a-Thon where his swim team was asked to swim as many laps as possible during a two hour period. It was our first Swim-a-Thon so I wasn’t exactly sure how it was all going to play out. He swam the entire time and finished the morning with 110 laps! I was so proud and impressed. I can barely swim 10 laps, much less 110! Everyone on the team did an amazing job. I feel so grateful to have such an amazing aquatic club right in our backyard. SMAC, I love you.
Later on Saturday, I went to Asheville to visit Versona for a blogging campaign. I absolutely love this store. As a local blogger, I was invited to try out their new spring line. After shopping, I met with my best friend for an essential oil meeting. We’ve both seen amazing results with Young Living essential oils, so if you call a “business meeting” an hour with my BFF while drinking a beer and talking oils, I’m all about this business.
More on Versona shopping and all they have to offer during Thursday’s blog post but wanted to give a sneak peak today.
AND THEN, we went to bed on Saturday with a “slight chance of snow” and woke up to a nice blanket of the white stuff. It all pretty much melted by about 4:00, but it was lovely to see, nevertheless. It’s been a wild winter. Spring starts next week, but It’s just now started to snow and get cold. Weird, right? This global warming thing seems a bit scary.
Even though now it’s almost Tuesday, I’m still in weekend mode. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a survivable Monday. Here’s to a happy and productive week!
