I am going to be honest here. I never thought I would like indoor portrait studios because every time I’ve walked by this type of business in the mall, there are hoards of people waiting to get photographed and children crying. It looks miserable. Also, I’m just an outdoor photography girl, so I thought, ‘Why get pictures taken in front of an artificial backdrop when you can use the beautiful canvas of nature?’
But then my family had a photo session at The Portrait Studio of Asheville this past Saturday.
And my mind has been pleasantly changed.
I’d been told this new business would be a different from other portrait studios, and they certainly are. After our fun and memorable experience on Saturday, I’ve thought about why I enjoyed it so much.
3 Reasons The Portrait Studio of Asheville is Living Up to the Hype
1). Amazing customer service: The minute we walked in, we were greeted in a friendly way. And during the time we were there, a few other other folks came in and they were all greeted the same. Further, the photographers are AMAZING with children. Let me say that again. They are AMAZING. Brooks can sometimes have the same smile in every photo and Case is such a ham, he either makes a silly face or decides he’d rather play and not do it all together. None of this happened on Saturday. The photographers made the boys giggle, smile and laugh the entire time so they have genuine expressions in every photo.
2). Boutique atmosphere: This is something the studio has been promoting but I wasn’t sure what they meant until we walked in the door. The Portrait Studio of Asheville books their appointments in a way so that you feel relaxed and well taken care of. They do not cram appointment after appointment to try and get a high volume. It’s quality over quantity, for sure The studio is beautiful, clean and even had a LEGO table for the boys to play with while Todd and I were changing clothes. Also, the photographers are very willing to listen to what you want. I wanted a photo of all the boys’ Chuck Taylor sneakers. Our photographer loved the idea and arranged their feet in such a cute way (as you can see in the first photo of this post). In fact, I love that picture so much, I plan to order a wall canvas.
3). Great photos at affordable prices: The Portrait Studio of Asheville does not charge a sitting fee nor do they charge if you want to change outfits. After our session, our photographer went through pricing and it is truly a great deal. Further, they are constantly offering different promotions. They will be running the 20 for 20 promo until February 14 which is a steal! As soon as this promo ends, another one will begin. You can sign up with your email address or follow them on Facebook to ensure you don’t miss any of their promotions. Along with a digital CD and prints, you can also purchase gifts such as mugs, calendars and photo books. And most of the packages include one of these items or a significant discount on them.
As you can tell, we enjoyed our time thoroughly. If you want to make an appointment or have further questions, you can call the studio at (828) 277-0994. I want to say a big THANK YOU to our photographer Anthony and the entire crew at The Portrait Studio of Asheville for an amazing day and for outstanding photos that we can keep for a lifetime.
